Intensive Care Nurse
CurrentProvide care to critically ill patients in a 26 bed intensive care unit of varying ages and complications. Responsible for set up, operating, and/or monitoring invasive equipment and devices such as endotracheal tube and tracheotomy equipment, mechanical ventilators, catheters and central lines. Distinguish between normal and abnormal physiological and behavioral changes in acute, critical, and chronic illnesses. Manage patients' pain relief and sedation, monitoring patients' reactions, and modifying as needed. Perform emergency medical procedures, such as BLS, ACLS, and other condition stabilizing interventions. Document data related to patients' care including assessment results, interventions, medications, patient responses, or treatment changes.
