I am a licensed professional counselor who has been in practice for over 15 years. I focus on working with couples, individuals and teens and specialize in anxiety, depression, life transitions and helping those with feelings of low self. In addition to traditional counseling, I offer hypnotherapy, EMDR and supervise other mental health professionals. South Africa

Responsibilities were primarily for the day to day operation of the organization’s South African branch. I served as the acting South African Director from 2010 until they hired a native South African to take over in 2012. Responsibilities included: • overseeing an active multi-national team of volunteers • financial accounting and compliance • leading teams from the USA in mission outreach, organizing multiple camps for the children we serve• working with the Board of Directors regularly and acting as liaison between the US Board and South African team • ensuring the organization maintained all legally required documentation • working with 2 children’s homes, overseeing soup clubs feeding over 1,400 children each day • Empowering, educating and mentoring key leaders in each of the communities we serve to allow them to care effectively for their orphaned and vulnerable children. Most recently, we started a school for the children at one of the children’s homes we support who were falling through the cracks of the public school system and started a mission base with a great team of volunteer teachers.

When hired, the organization was a small domestic adoption agency. During my tenure I quadrupled revenue, opened international programs in China, Guatemala, Russia, South Korea and Ukraine. Responsibilities included:• US domestic legal requirement compliance as well as Hague Treaty accreditation and compliance and country specific requirements to ensure best practice • negotiating and nurturing the relationships in each country as well as domestically at every level in the process from the people who worked at the children’s homes to top government officials • regularly invited to speak at adoption conferences and made presentations to government officials in all the countries which ABC conducted its business• day to day operations of the agency including management of staff, maintaining financial accounting, working with the Board of Directors regularly to ensure that the best interests of the agency as well as the clients were being met
