In addition to serving as Chief of Staff to the Vice Chancellor for Development and as Assistant Vice President of the UNC-Chapel Hill Foundation, this position leads the university development Donor Relations, Events, Marketing and Communications, and Volunteer Engagement teams.

• Partnered with Campaign Director to develop a comprehensive plan to reach $4.25 billion Campaign for Carolina goal by December 2022. Worked with UNC Vice Chancellor for Development, University Development Office leadership, and campus partners to execute the multi-year strategy.• Developed innovative donor and volunteer engagement strategies designed to strengthen relationships with the University and to increase market penetration, campaign participation rate and build donor pipeline.• Managed key campaign volunteer groups and served as their volunteer manager: 10-person Campaign Steering Committee, 135-person Chancellor’s Philanthropic Council, and six campaign strategy committees. Developed and executed volunteer and faculty trainings, on-campus and virtual meeting content and programming, and volunteer engagement.• Consulted and led projects including, but not limited to: OneCarolina Diversity Committee (Board Diversity Subcommittee Co-chair), Carolina Women’s Leadership Council, The Carolina Edge Event Series, Peachtree Scholars, Campaign launches and regional events, marketing automation, volunteer trainings, faculty trainings, and board management roundtables.

• Increased annual revenue from special events by more than 200%. • Identified sponsors, event attendees and volunteers with major gift capacity and worked independently (and in tandem with frontline development officers) to cultivate, propose and close gifts in support of cancer research, patient support, and outreach programs.• Organized and supported board meetings, stewardship and signature fundraising events. Developed and oversaw all elements of these strategies, from program content and speaker preparation to marketing collateral and event management.

Founded a company that consulted and executed comprehensive marketing strategies, hospitality events, and real estate sales by partnering with large corporate clients to heighten their visibility through strategic business development, marketing, and communications efforts. Select projects include developing marketing plans, leading a website redesign, writing and publishing collateral, creating templates for sales teams, identifying sponsorship and speaking opportunities, and planning large 100+ attendee conferences.

Worked closely with the Chief Marketing Officer and senior leadership to increase firm’s market share through strategic business development, marketing and communications efforts. Advanced in organization through a rapid series of promotions and increased responsibilities, including developing and implementing a firm-wide departmental training program, and building and managing the firm’s first events department ($2 million annual budget), which was responsible for annual multiday off-site partner retreats (300 attendees) and highly curated client hospitality experiences for top Fortune 500 executives.
