Business Analyst contracted by Evergreen Investments, a subsidiary of Wachovia Bank, responsible for spearheading the successful integration of the Evergreen Investment trading platform which ultimately reduced the costs of trading initiatives by 25%. My duties included the specific responsibility of identifying and resolving a plethora of significant investment software problems within the platform testing log. My efforts resulted in a 30% savings of budgeted labor costs by assisting management officials with coordinating business activities and balancing workloads. My further duties included drafting Charles River Investment Software Trading Rules that became the benchmark for all portfolios administered by Evergreen Investments. The computerized rules I drafted ensured transactional compliance regarding regulatory outlines contained within each portfolio prospectus, as well as the Securities and Exchange Commission, 1940 Act. Consequently, I was responsible for the implementation and testing of compliance rules for accuracy, ensuring that trading violations triggered computerized alerts I preset within trade blotters or the workbench manager.Additionally, I was responsible for training peers and other employees on the application of Charles River Investment Management Software, as well as monitoring its coding capabilities. Consequently, I gained extensive experience in analyzing and resolving complex performance and capability issues regarding computerized systems and application software relating to traded products and strategies including equities, debt, derivatives, and foreign currency. I did so by specifically authoring the computer code that ensured transactional integrity of all investment rules specific to various regulatory outlines and laws.

As a compliance analyst, I served as the escalation point for all broker dealer compliance services. My duties included registering employees with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), as well as overseeing and monitoring the compliance of relevant employee broker dealer licensures to include the brokerage licensures of Countrywide Investment Services as a business entity. A specific accomplishment furthering this endeavor involves personally designing, developing, and implementing the first compliance department software implemented by Countrywide Investment Services. The software I developed monitors corporate risk factors as well as serves as a warehouse thereby collating and indexing investment representative and brokerage insurance licensing requirements for all FINRA licensed employees to include U4, U5, professional licensing, and continuing education credits. I received the Countrywide Investment Services President’s Circle Award for 2006 for developing this software.My additional responsibilities include analyzing key performance and risk indicators involving financial data, production, and personnel management. I was then responsible for submitting, on a monthly basis, my analysis in order to aid senior management officials in assessing risk issues. I was also responsible for preparing test scripts and completed user acceptance testing (UAT), as well as compiling data for workflow analysis of overall software implementation. I was further responsible for the close coordination and interaction with various state regulators leading me to create a manual regarding the state insurance licensing procedures of each state Countrywide Investment Services was licensed in. Finally, my efforts led the modeling of current-state business processes identifying and rectifying significant problems, product opportunities, and process improvements thereby reducing relevant business risk factors.
