I was a consulting actuary specializing in disability and group life insurance. My areas of expertise included product design, pricing, reinsurance, and financial modeling.

I was responsible for a team of actuaries who calculate plan projections, value of new business, source of earnings, dynamic capital adequacy testing, and goodwill adequacy testing for group disability, life, worksite, dental, vision, stop loss, and reinsurance.

I was responsible for Experience Analysis and Modeling for our Group lines of business and Pricing for our National Client Group.

I was responsible for financial modeling and valuation for The Hartford's Retirement Products Group.

Specializing in group disability and life reinsurance, I was responsible for pricing strategy and analytics for Group Reinsurance Plus. I was also the lead actuary and account manager for our largest LTD client.

At Aetna I first worked on pricing our Managed Care products for the southeast region. Then I worked on coordinating the new product development efforts for Middle Markets Actuarial.

I worked at LifeUSA before they were purchased by Allianz Life. During my time at LifeUSA, I worked on developing a UL product that had components of LTD, critical illness, and annuity products. I was also involved in determining 7702 compliance for our various life insurance products.After the merger, I was able to develop some variable life and annutiy.

I was in the actuarial student rotation program at John Hancock. I rotated through such areas as Fixed Annuities, Individual Life, and an area that supported the career agents.
