Over my long tech career, I've leverage my technical degree and expertise to drive innovation and empower others. Whether in the classroom, on the national stage, or through personalized AI coaching, my goal has always been to bridge the gap between technology and its practical application, ensuring everyone accesses technology's power.JOURNEY. In 1991, after creating a (SaaS) software company, I joined Weber State University as an Adjunct Professor in CIS, where I simplified the new "thing," personal computers, for all students. My courses included programming, database design, MS Suite, DOS, SQL, etc.INTERESTING TURN: My expertise in COBOL II positioned me as a key national figure during the year 2000 transition, advising on Systems Safety/Compliance issues. The Utah Governor’s Office hired and tasked me with a statewide preparedness campaign. I collaborated with the White House, World Bank, FBI, GAO, and others. I was invited to testify at Senate Subcommittee hearings in 1999 by Utah Senator Bob Bennett, and went on a 7-city Preparedness Tour through Utah with the Senator and other Utah leaders.FAMILY BUSINESS: In 2002, I transitioned back into entrepreneurship, creating a family-owned real estate brokerage. I mentored agents, negotiated hundreds of contracts, managed all administrative/financial and legal operations, generated tens of millions of dollars in sales, and have hundreds of happy clients. I've designed marketing and social media campaigns, and innovated technical applications including CRMs, and websites. PEACEMAKER: In 2022, I began the process to become a court-appointed Mediator with the Utah Judicial System through the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah. I believe that mediation skills universally invite better outcomes for any endeavor.ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE: Via my Prompt Engineering and Data Management experience, I'm learning the backroom secrets to maximizing AI for business optimization, and I'm ready to share.
