Conduct daily legal research on a variety of labor issues including discipline, benefits, and collective bargaining agreements. Write advice memoranda and opinion letters for clients, as well as inter-office memos. Draft merit opinions for grievances as well as trial, NLRB hearings, and post-arbitration briefs.

Acted as a student attorney through Wayne State University Law School’s Clinic Program. Duties included: conducting legal research on the assigned matter, drafting legal memoranda for concerned parties, reviewing pertinent documents on the issue, creating comprehensive work product for future use and users, and communicating with the client both.

Worked independently from and collaboratively with in-house attorneys on projects within various practice areas of the law. Projects required conducting legal research and writing, creating and presenting work product to attorneys, and problem solving with assigning attorneys on outside counsel issues. Practice area exposure included: antitrust.

Conducted legal research on a wide array of legal issues within the Contract Management Department. Drafted and presented legal memoranda on important in-house issues throughout the summer. Aided supervising attorneys with proofreading, redlining, and drafting of both in-house contracts and vendor contracts.

Utilized strong communication and writing skills through published articles within the university’s national alumni publication. Demonstrated high level of attention to detail in the proofing and editing process for all articles published in each edition. Maintained leadership role while living in France through the use of effective written communication.
