Working with several clients on either a PR or Social Media brief. The PR gig consists of writing press releases, pitch letters or emails, and creating personalized media lists to target media outlets. The Social Media gig dealt with curating content for different platforms as well as creating editorial calendars.

Performed a variety of different tasks for the Circulation, Membership, and Content Licensing department. My responsibilities consisted of proofreading emails and letters for marketing campaigns, creating PowerPoint presentations for sales meetings, organized the member database, created fillable forms using Adobe Acrobat and inDesign. I also worked for the department of Publications Marketing & Sales, and acted as customer service; responding to emails, taking phone calls, applying payments, and more.

Greater New York City Area

As the Event Intern, I had the responsibility of filling out budget sheets, attended pitch workshops, scouted venue spaces, and attended brainstorm sessions. Outside of my Event Intern role, I was given an Influencer project. I had to create a database on Excel of entertainment and lifestyle influencers. This included a photo, social media handles, the number of followers, their target audience, and their main industry focus.

My role was to curate and schedule social media content for several artists' social media accounts by utilizing Hootsuite, Facebook, and Asana. All of my work was focused on the artists from Legacy Records. With that being said, I created and posted for Legacy Records, Destiny's Child, Luther Vandross, Bob Dylan, and more.

This was a start up project created by Sherryl Ellison Ponds. She was working on this project before I became the Social Media Content Manager. Her focus was getting people to know the effects of gentrification. She did this by creating the Urban Realestate Starlet, who starred in a series of Youtube videos and informed the people about gentrification. My responsibility was to rebuild the image of the Urban Real-estate Starlet by writing creative descriptions for her YouTube series, drafting a press release for the launch of her new website, and schedule and curate drafts of social media content using eClincher for the Twitter and Facebook sites. MITD is a digital content online based magazine and production company. As the Editorial and Social Media Intern, I was responsible for researching articles on pop culture, local news, fashion, entertainment, and more. The Tech Council of Maryland was preparing for their annual award show when I became the Event Planning Intern. Most of the work I did was organize the seating arrangements on Excel, call companies to let them know that the event was coming up and if they wanted to purchase a table. I also participated in meetings, and worked the actual event.
