Working within the Reporting & Analytics team; my role was to create reports in Microsoft Excel for clientsto highlight how their online campaigns were performing. This involved analysing the data and identifyingthe key performance indicators as defined by the client. I was also actively involved in optimising reportswhich involved using an API for Google Analytics and some Visual Basic programming.

I spent the summer researching search engine optimisation techniques for Northumbria Numbers – A private number plate seller. They were looking to improve their search engine results, through several different techniques this was achieved with the Google PageRank increasing as a by-product of my work. I also carried out some web development work during the summer where I created new pages to help customers navigate through the 25 million records held on the database.
