Responsible for managing four development teams within the IBM SmartCloud Notes (SCN) Connections Cloud team including the Administration Client, Mail Messaging/Mobile, Directory, and IBM mail support for Microsoft Outlook with a focus on reliability, stability, availability, and delivering new product capabilities and messaging services to over 1 million users across 3 worldwide multi-active data centers in North American, EU, and Asia Pacific. Work closely with global Operation Control Centers to provide highly available and resilient messaging collaboration services in the IBM Cloud. Cover duty management of 24/7 cloud operations. Responsible for training new duty managers and making sure there is 24/7 coverage. Taught several operations classes to bring new duty managers up to speed. Have received consistently high manager survey responses over my career, with 100% positive responses. Received recognition for being one of the top 50 IBMers in North America with the most peer recognition awards for going above and beyond and helping others.

Joined IBM Domino team to manage IBM Mail Support for Microsoft Outlook (IMSMO/well known by codename Hawthorn). Domino off hours duty manager. Handled customer critical situations, worked with crit sit managers, deployed emergency fixes, approved hotfix requests. Delivered Domino features to fixpacks.

Initiated Continuous Integration(CI)/Continuous Delivery (CD) and agile practices across the Notes team. Led the transformation of the Notes team from following waterfall practices to agile scrum in support of enabling automated weekly deployments of SmartCloud Notes. Drove transition of Notes development from US to India and China teams, setting up a community and knowledge transfer education resulting in a smooth transition of ownership. Active member of IBM Software Group learning council which implemented best learning practices across IBM Software Group.

Lead manager responsible for intern/co-op and college hiring and onboarding for the organization. Lab advocate for several customers including Colgate, Southern Cal Edison and McKinsey working closely with each one.

Created and oversaw talent initiatives aimed at the attraction, retention and career development of the worldwide technical population in the Lotus Software division. Partnered with all lines of management as well as HR and Finance. Wrote and submitted the divisional Talent Plan and quarterly updates to the IBM Chairman. Ensured our talent goals were met or exceeded. Developed programs and implemented skills gap closure plans by working with technical leaders, line management, finance, site education and HR. Teamed with line management, upper management and staffing to ensure hiring requirements were identified and communicated, and that recruiting strategies were developed and executed to close the plan. Coordinated appropriate diversity strategies and events to promote workforce diversity as a business imperative.
