Primary role was to conduct sales or layaway orders/payments and offer promotions like the Toys"R"Us rewards card, Toys"R"Us credit card, Square protection policies, and batteries. When not assisting customers, was tasked with organizing shelves, closing out any expired or broken or clearance products, and returning misplaced items.

Trained in searching the floor and stockroom to complete "Ship from Store" order requests. Operated register systems concerning the following customer interactions: sales, returns, exchanges, order online, wedding/gift registries, credit card sign-ups and retrieval, and more. Would also aid customers with questions and concerns about coupons, sales, item(s), store layout, etc. Assigned opening and closing shifts where I had to count and/or deposit the day's funds by enclosing the amount in safety deposit bags, dropping them off, and signing the necessary paperwork. Assisted in informing of Loss Prevention of any possible thefts, missing merchandise, and suspicious activity. Maintained store's visual guidelines in the area I worked as well as any nearby fitting rooms (and checking them every half hour.) Also assisted customers with finding items, fashion/budget advice, store's credit card (opening and making payments), and other miscellaneous questions/requests. Recalibrated store inventory on the sales floor and would assist customers with their shopping experience (finding garments, holding orders, solving any issues, etc.). Checked items throughout the store for any possible shrinkage (e.g.: tags hidden behind mirrors, tags switched on items). Cleaned and inspected the store to make sure the visual presentation met company guidelines (and modified layouts - e.g.: mannequins, new display areas for new items).
