About Jennifer Ramsey

Growing up, I was obsessed with the TV show L.A. Law. I especially loved the opening theme song. 🎷 From those first few notes of the saxophone kicking off a car trunk closing only to reveal the coolest California vanity plate with “LA Law” displayed on it, to the end of the song showcasing the towering, twinkly lights of downtown LA skyline and all of its possibilities, I was totally hooked. 🌇That show and its theme song became my beacon for what I wanted to be when I grew up. Fast forward to present day, I am an Iowa-native living out a version of my dream in California.🌊☀️ Based in sunny San Diego, I am a legal marketing and business development professional who gets to work alongside super smart, funny and creative lawyers + BD/marketing professionals all across the U.S. - from LA to NY. The skills and experience I gained from being an investment banking analyst and serving as Executive Director of a non-profit business organization to spending nearly 2 decades in-house at Big Law have all culminated in launching a women-owned BD/marketing boutique consultancy, stage LLC, with 2 amazing colleagues and friends. ⚖️ Our company’s mission is “staging” lawyers, law firm leaders and fellow BD/marketing professionals for success in their business development, sales, relationship-building and marketing endeavors. 📣 At stage, we are more than BD/marketing coaches. We are collaborative partners who SAVE lawyers and law firm leaders TIME ⏰ by working alongside them on strategy AND execution of BD, sales & marketing activities. From goal-setting to goal-getting, we are in our clients' corner at every stage of their business and client development journey, infusing a good dose of humor and fun while crushing goals.A few other fun facts about me: 🧘‍♀️ I received my 200-hour yoga teacher certification in 2015 and started teaching in 2017 because it took me two years to muster up the confidence to do it. 👑 I am 100% obsessed with Peloton and was inspired to launch stage LLC in large part by instructor Robin Arzon who has the best quotes like, “you’re never too old, it’s never too late.”🚴‍♀️ I have ridden my real bike across the great state of Iowa for what is known as RAGBRAI (The Register’s Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa) and plan to do it again next year!
