Jennifer Fowler, based in Chicago via St. Louis, is an employee communications innovator, experience curator and culture champion. As an employee experience (EE) professional, Jennifer has counseled various organizations on meaningful ways to engage their workforce. From developing employee value propositions and employer branding initiatives, to supporting intentional communication from executive leadership, Jennifer is all about driving change and innovation by putting people first.She initially got her start in PR after graduating from the one and only Missouri School of Journalism. She’s supported media relations and influencer programs for brands such as Anheuser-Busch, Wendy’s and U by Kotex to name a few. However, at the center of every path she’s charted has been her passion for people. She struck a balance between her PR work and her people work – leading culture committees and serving as an employee ambassador for her respective organizations.Naturally, that led her to take the leap and fully embrace her interests. During her time at Edelman, as she supported EE initiatives and programs for health, tech and food brands, she also lent her talents to the firm's own employee experience, curating employee communications and producing leadership town halls as part of a dual role.In tandem with her career efforts, Jennifer values mentorship and professional development, specifically for women of color. She’s championed peer-to-peer learning opportunities through the development of PRSA Chicago’s “Pass the Mic” panel series, a highlight in the chapter’s Young Professional Network programming for 2022. Additionally, she’s mentored various students across institutions like the University of Missouri, DePaul University and Loyola University, by offering career guidance and support. Jennifer is involved in several organizations dedicated to empowering BIPOC professionals, including Hue, ColorComm and ForbesBLK.
