I lead a team of 10 researchers across three product areas to inform product strategy and design. We work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and design stakeholders to understand users' needs, inform design direction, and understand product adoption.

Recent projects include:- Customer site visits to learn more about customers' app building processes and pain points in order to inform the design of a segmentation survey. - Used the site visit data to design a segmentation survey of customers. - Triangulated the site visit and survey data with external research to further develop design personas and inform marketing strategies.

Responsible for usability research on Oracle's family of middleware products, including content management, enterprise social networking, and SOA components. Utilized a variety of user research methods such as usability tests, expert interviews, card sorting, and surveys.

Conducted human factors research for aviation information displays to support airport surface operations. Designed experiments to assess the effect of time and distance displays on pilots' ability to reach a destination at a target time. Calibrated head-mounted eye tracking system and analyzed eye tracking and performance data.

Specialized in hostel negotiations, scuba diving, snake wrastlin', glacier hiking, spelunking, and skydiving. Particularly skilled in stuffing all possessions in small pack. Languages learned: Australian English, New Zealand English, and English English.
