I implemented a Classical Education in my home. Regardless of learning styles, children learn in three phases or stages (grammar, logic or dialectic, and rhetoric), known as the trivium. I taught Latin, English, Math, Reading, Spelling, Science, and introduced classical literature. The classical approach teaches students how to learn and how to think. There is a gap in my resume due to my time at home teaching my children. During evening hours, I was also contracted to teach virtually: English as a second language to Chinese students located in China through VIPKid.

As a Director, I started my own community, which was like having a start up company. I recruited families to the homeschool community and helped keep the community running. Classical Conversations is a 24 week classical homeschool group that meets to cover Latin, Math, Science experiments, presentations, Classical music, Geography, History, and Scripture. I interviewed, hired contracted tutors, supplied them with materials for science experiments and art projects, and handled payroll. I was responsible for the budget, tuition, community supplies, recruiting, and developing relationships with families within the community. I successfully maintained a full community of 40 children and stepped in as a tutor when necessary for the Foundations group (4 -11 year old). I also tutored the Essentials (9 -11 year old) group utilizing Classical Conversations curriculum, along with materials from Andrew Pudwa, a well-known educator specializing in English and writing.
