I worked one-on-one with clients ages 5-10 who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The goal is to help clients work toward better functionality, redirect maladaptive behavior, and eventually graduate from the program. I had two clients that are on each side of the spectrum. This increases my knowledge of ASD, and I work through varying levels of programs with my clients.

I was an undergraduate course assistant for PSYC 481: Survey Clinical Psychology at California State University, Fullerton. I oversaw this level-400 course's grading, questions, assignments, and exam reviews. This class is designed for students to understand what they are going to pursue in the field of psychology. My supervisor was Professor Mary Madracki, a current and practicing LMFT.

With this position, I observed the teaching aspect of learning. I was a teaching assistant for PSYC 317: Psychology and Law at California State University, Fullerton, for Professor Stephan Margolis. Since this class had 100 students, each TA was able to acquire 20 students as a cohort. I taught a lesson on competency to stand trial, hosted review sessions, held office hours, and held a lecture about graduate school.

With this position, I have many more one-on-one interactions as well as interacting with families and younger guests. I also use my leadership and organizational skills to help with the flow of our store within the resort.

As a keyholder at Abercrombie & Fitch’s sister store, Hollister, I was promoted to a keyholder from a brand representative when I moved to a new store. I was the sole merchandiser for our women's department, our top-selling denim department. I also know how to delegate tasks and train associates to have more personal and detailed experiences with customers. Since this position is in the heart of downtown, I also have customer loss prevention experience. At Hollister, I worked at the register and on the floor, helping customers pick out clothes and put outfits together. At the register, I learned how to be quick and efficient, properly take off sensors, and fold clothes neatly to be put in bags to give to customers. I have learned what it means to be a good employee and provide excellent customer service to customers of all ages. Since I had been here for so long, I’ve been trusted to watch the sales floor as well as train new hires on how things go in the store. I also participated in store updates to put out new merchandise.

At Bestswimwear, I got a different taste of retail. Since this is a slower-paced job with fewer associates, everyone did everything except for a few different tasks that were for management. However, since I had been in retail before, I had done more tasks than just being a regular associate. I have helped count the register and run the sales floor all by myself on multiple occasions and on our busier days, like the weekend and over the summer. Since the staff is so small, I worked full time, even with my school schedule.
