Loved working at Redthread with skilled, passionate and determined colleagues offering support to young people who were experiencing violence and exploitation. I was a member of the senior management team, responsible for all HR and with line-management of finance, fundraising and business development. During my time at Redthread the organisation grew from around 30 people working in three London hospitals to over 80, working in 13 hospitals in London and the Midlands. I was involved in strategy development, problem solving, EDI, organisational design and I led the response to COVID-19. In 2021, Redthread won a GSK Impact Award, a Community Health Development Award from the Royal Society of Public Health and the 2021 Youth Work Award from Children and Young People Now.

Responsible for the expansion of the Together Network, a network of partnerships with Church of England dioceses enabling churches to address local poverty and create positive community change. Grew the network from four to 20 charitable companies over four years. Board member of ten of these partnerships.

Wonderful 12 years of working freelance full-time doing a rich variety of things - writing about youth work, publishing resources, training, speaking and delivering sixth form conferences. Set up a charity supporting women in youth work which grew to 1000 members; created an interactive spirituality resource called Breathe for Youthscape; won awards for a blog; co-founder of a gathering for women leaders in London. Worked part-time for Christian Aid as a writer on their youth team for a couple of years.

Provided stability and leadership during a challenging couple of years. Delivered two festivals with the staff and volunteer teams on time and to budget. Oversaw new strategy for the organisation, working with staff and trustees, including transformation of provision for children at the festival.
