I am currently working as an ambassador for my University, which involves a variety of jobs from public interaction through campus tours and car parking guidance, to manual labour such as transporting signage/banners from various locations around university, and also administration duties such as mailing out prospectus’ to future students, all of which resembles the duties of a runner or production assistant, therefore furthering my experience with these roles.

Some of my responsibilities included editing, uploading video content onto social media pages, logging footage, retouching images on Photoshop and running errands. I also had the opportunity to attend an on location shoot at the Liverpool Exhibition Centre for the Microsoft SQLBits conference in 2016, whereby I filmed various speakers as their talks were being streamed live over the internet.

For the six week placement during my first year I worked at Leeds Trinity University’s in house production company that produces a wide variety of media products. As a Production Operative I was given the opportunity to produce various video projects from start to finish, making decisions throughout all stages of production. I was also a runner/camera operative/editor for an on location shoot of a music event, which aired on the Made in Leeds channel and was my first television credit.
