As a Research Engagement Officer at HEAnet, I work with the research community in Ireland to facilitate their access to and use of advanced network services and digital infrastructure. I leverage my expertise in data management, curation, and dissemination to support research data workflows, policies, and best practices across various disciplines and domains. I also collaborate with national and international partners, such as the Irish Social Science Data Archive (ISSDA) and the Consortium of European Social Science Data Archives (CESSDA), to enhance the visibility, accessibility, and interoperability of research data in Ireland and Europe.I have a Master of Library & Information Science (MLIS) from University College Dublin, where I graduated with the Wilson Foundation Award for obtaining first place in the program. Before joining HEAnet in December 2023, I was a Data Manager at UCD Library for over seven years, where I developed and delivered research data support services for UCD researchers, including guidance, training, and data management planning. I was also the Data Manager for ISSDA, Ireland's leading centre for quantitative data acquisition, preservation, and dissemination, based at UCD Library. Through these roles, I gained valuable experience and skills in data management, data governance, data quality, data archiving, data sharing, and data literacy. I am passionate about promoting the value and impact of research data, and empowering researchers to manage and share their data effectively and ethically.
