From building cutting-edge PET/CT scanners to researching innovative drug delivery systems to treat childhood cancer, I am excited to advance as a biomedical engineer and be a contributor to the education, research, and innovations of medical research and biotechnology. As the first Biomedical Engineering PhD research assistant for my lab, I have enjoyed using my leadership and technical skills to plan and develop the lab foundation for pre-clinical experiments involving biomaterials, drug delivery systems, oncology, and pediatrics.I am a highly passionate advocate for STEM outreach and education in youth and minority communities demonstrated through my experience as being the founder of the first Early Career Mentoring Program for STEM graduate women at the university involving 50+ mentees paired with STEM professionals and 10+ career workshops, founder of redesigned SWE undergraduate mentoring program which led to 120+ members and 1200+ mentoring events reported, past SWE section president where I executed 30+ professional development meetings for 150+ members, and active volunteer in youth outreach events including providing guidance to 1000+ K-12 grade students working with the Syndaver lab.
