Having began my career in the creative and charity sector, my interest and appreciation for digital media ultimately brought me to the agency environment, where I was fortunate enough to work on projects across a huge range of sectors and disciplines, using both agile and waterfall based methodologies. I am currently using this experience to support the growth of a PMO, within an environmentally focussed textile manufacturer. Our range of programmes span new technology and product development, operational improvement initiatives and sustainability improvements. This requires complex and varied project management approaches, which is extremely rewarding. I still continue to fulfil my interest in the charity sector in a voluntary capacity, most recently on the Board of Trustees at Pedestrian Ltd. The perspective I've gained from balancing my charity and private sector work is especially rewarding and continues to positively impact my approach to project management.

Chair Of The Board Of TrusteesPedestrian Oct 2018 - Apr 2022Leicester, United KingdomMy primary role was ensuring the board of trustees are effective in the creation, implementation and monitoring of the charity’s direction and strategy. Alongside the chairing of meetings and sub groups, I was also responsible for implementing government best practice, including conducting regular board skills audits, which has led to the successful rollout of several trustee recruitment campaigns, ultimately bringing the board to its largest and most diverse make up in organisation’s history. With a focus on implementing and overseeing sound management practices at a strategic level, including financial forecasting and reporting, as well as overseeing the development of strategic, business and operational plans, my time at Pedestrian has been incredibly rewarding. The fantastic work that Pedestrian do in supporting vulnerable young people is incredibly important to the local community and it has been a pleasure to help the organisation in this capacity.
