For this specialized market, I developed precise tooling for cores to fit within filter casings. Average base machine cost was 200k with tooling 3-10k per set.* Developed design improvements and simplifications for components. Created gauges that improved performance, saving roughly 4 hours of time for technicians and $600 for clients. Such gauges added precision; setups were now reproducible and consistent across all machines.* Collaborated with technicians and vendor to solve a torn perforation problem that occurred during production. Solving this issue was key to manufacturing a machine that saved clients over 50% in material costs.
