Strengths Finder 2.0: Achiever | Learner | Positivity | Harmony | ConsistencyI started in the industry wearing a variety of hats as a part of the Communications Team at Utomik. In addition to leading, producing, and hosting the video content creation and livestreams, I worked to ensure games on the Utomik client were highlighted and showcased to players, and fostered the growing community through our Discord and other social media channels. After Utomik, I led influencer/media relations for Indie Boost, connecting gamers and developers to further spread the indie love! I also provided video content for their platform: you may see me in their Indie Boost Indie Roundups or hear my voice in a game explainer video. Seeking something a little closer to home and to the game development process, I started working for Rose City Games. As the Communications Manager, I handled community development, all social and community channels, content creation, influencer outreach, trailer editing, PR, and marketing of their roster of titles. The World Next Door, Cat Lady, Floppy Knights, and Garden Story are the titles I've helped bring to life during my time there. Currently, I've transitioned into production in addition to community/marketing work. I am the lead producer for Spirit Swap, Soft Not Weak's debut title. As a part of the Soft Not Weak team, I also help organize biz dev, marketing, community, and communications. I'm also a part of the advisor team at Kowloon Nights, supporting the developer community, as well as providing feedback on game pitches. In addition to scouting and playing as many indie games as I'm able, I also handle the fund's Twitter account. Finally, I lead influencer outreach for Kepler Interactive, the first developer-owned publisher! With titles like Sifu, Scorn, and Tchia on the way in 2022, I'm excited to foster the creator community of this new company.By night, I continue to create content. Under the handle “Kimchica”, I stream and produce video game reviews, curated lists, and play-throughs, focusing primarily on (surprise!) the indie game community and indie titles.
