I come from a 20 yr background in still photography and am a recent graduate from the journalism program at U.C. Berkeley, with a focus on TV/documentary. My masters thesis was a long form television piece about a women's maternal health issue in Sierra Leone, West Africa. I teach video production to Oakland High School students, most are immigrants and/or refugees from around the world. We aim to give these kids life skills AND job skills. They will have opportunity to be hired to create video content for local non-profits.
