Jenny completed a Master of Nursing in Diabetes Management and Education in 2011 and then trained as a Cardiometabolic Nurse Practitioner after completing a second Master’s Degree in 2014. Focusing on lifestyle intervention and the management of hypertension, obesity, and dyslipidaemia to decrease cardiovascular risk and other comorbidities.Since completing her training Jenny has worked in a range of collaborations including nurse practitioner cardiometabolic working party that reviewed clinical guidelines to ensure health care providers incorporate consumer empowerment as part of evidence-based practice to improve primary and secondary prevention health outcomes and achieve integrated goals. As the vice president of SACRA SA/NT and a member of the ACRA executive team she co-authored the Australian Cardiovascular Health and Rehabilitation Association Core Components, for cardiac rehabilitation, 2014.Jenny has held a Chair position for the SA Health Cardiac Rehabilitation Coalition - ‘Patient Reported Experience Working Group’ a State-wide Satisfaction Survey Project and Accreditation working party for cardiac rehabilitation including the introduction of obesity guidelines to support weight management to reduce the burden of disease associated with unhealthy weight.Jenny has recently established her own private practice 'Diabetes and Heart Health', with a focus on providing individualised, comprehensive education and support to people with Pre-Diabetes, Type 2 and Gestational diabetes. Jenny also provides treatment for people requiring weight management treatment and primary and secondary cardiovascular preventive care.
