A great experience for three months on secondment in Doha for Al Jazeera, which involved daily, live, on-air broadcasting. The position involved sourcing of all material for visual content of live broadcasts. As well as on-air duties, each day also consisted of researching and writing articles for the Al Jazeera English website.

I was in the United States working for CNN for over 15 years, where I became an instrumental member of their award-winning team, and one of the best known and instantly recognisable faces on screen. As one of the world’s most experienced weather and environmental broadcasters, I could also regularly be seen covering a number of current affairs and human-interest stories.

For nearly 5 years, I was a freelance presenter, both in studio and outside broadcast, for ITV regions: ITV Central, HTV Wales, HTV West, Meridian and East Anglia. A brand new, cable company also began operations in the UK, The Weather Network, where I was one of four main presenters. During this time I worked on a variety of corporate films with local, independent production companies, as well as providing voiceover talent for many corporate/communications projects.

Manger responsible for a team of 11 people in the Food Business Centre, developing three different product areas and numerous product ranges. Responsible for TV and Print PR and Marketing. Deadline critical launches, as ranges included seasonal items for Christmas and Easter.

Recruited to turn around product sales from bottom-line loss across range of gift food and confectionary. Increased turnover by 16%+ and brought entire range to profitability. Introduced new product standards alongside Boots technologists. Sourced and developed new suppliers and products in the UK and Europe. Worked closely with internal and external design teams on product packaging. Responsible for training of Assistant Product Managers and Product Assistants.

Headhunted and recruited to troubleshoot gif-food quality issues and revitalise product ranges. Created working partnership with external Food and Technology company to set best working practices for existing and new food suppliers. Consolidated existing products into core product ranges. Developed new products and ranges, along with the introduction of new suppliers for print and packaging solutions. Copy writing for NT Gift Magazine.

Development of new food ranges across 3 different food departments. Co-ordinated all design work and photography for product packaging. Regular travel throughout the UK to source new ideas and suppliers.
