Although she came to work as a ‘temporary employee,’ it quickly became clear to me that she was very talented, especially in the area of computer technical skills. At that time I was managing the Southwest sales force for First American CREDCO, and our sales executives were just being issued laptop computers in order to conduct their jobs more efficiently. Most of our sales people had never used a computer, and were out of their comfort zone with this new tool. Jenny Lynn’s self designed training program helped each sales person to realize the amazing tool that they had in their hands and how to use it effectively, thus giving them the ability to have more time doing what they did best… selling! Soon afterwards Jenny Lynn helped First American CREDCO implement Telemagic, a multi level database that allowed the company to 1) track the salesperson and all of their accounts, and 2) track the efforts of the inside sales support team in their support of the sales force. This helped First American to analyze where the sales support personnel spent their time, how we could make them more efficient and determine if we were putting our resources with the right sales person and customer. Five months after working with sales support, Jenny Lynn earned the opportunity to move into an outside sales support role as an Account Representative. In this new role, she was instrumental in rolling out and upgrading technical products that our customers used. Jenny Lynn demonstrates a high level of patience in working with people who are less technical than she. This was clear in her work with sales support personnel and sales people. This ability also was a big asset to her with her customers, as she found many of them to be less technical than her as well. Her customers developed a great deal of confidence in Jenny Lynn, and they always knew that she could help them. During her tenure with the company, Jenny Lynn took advantage of several classes to improve her skills. She enrolled herself in Dale Carnegie and finished in the top of the class and was asked back to be an assistant instructor. Jenny Lynn is one of the hardest working employees I have ever had the opportunity to have on my team. She has a high level of energy, and approaches each day with a positive outlook. In addition to her excellent employment record, Jenny Lynn is active in many community efforts which make her a very well rounded citizen.
