I co-produce the Moth Madison storyslam, a competitive live storytelling monthly event.The Moth is an acclaimed not-for-profit organization dedicated to the art and craft of storytelling. Since its launch in 1997, The Moth has presented thousands of stories, told live and without notes, to standing-room-only crowds worldwide.Moth shows are renowned for the great range of human experience they showcase. Each show starts with a theme, and the storytellers explore it, often in unexpected ways. Since each story is true and every voice authentic, the shows dance between documentary and theater, creating a unique, intimate, and often enlightening experience for the audience.

I will be supporting single family energy efficiency work as part of “Green Madison”. Madison is in a competition to win a five million dollar energy prize from Georgetown University. Green Madison is our city-wide initiative to reduce energy consumption. If Madison reduces its energy consumption more than the 49 other communities and wins the prize, the $5 million will be put toward future sustainability initiatives in the city.

Partner with school district staff to provide strategies and general technical assistance on meeting the educational needs of homeless children and unaccompanied youth.Provide content for the 'Education for Homeless Children and Youth' website.

Wisconsin League of Woman Voters: Provided state-based advocacy to recruit younger and more racially diverse poll workers. Worked with the local league chapters, city clerks, local high schools and the Government Accountability Board.

Work intensively with five domestic violence programs to expand community-based economic advocacy efforts for those affected by domestic violence. Collaborate with Department of Corrections to write an economic resources manual for incarcerated women re-entering the community.

Led VotePower, a statewide, nonpartisan voter engagement project. --Developed and maintained technical assistance resource center on domestic violence.-Edited and published a quarterly education journal. -Researched and wrote 5 Wisconsin Domestic Violence Homicide reports and coordinated press conference and outreach related to report. -Supervised program staff and interns, program reporting and grant management related to the project. -Public speaking on a variety of topics related to domestic violence to local, state and national audiences. -Managed organizations public education and outreach activities, including domestic violence awareness month strategies. -Led an expansion of economic advocacy work at WCADV through presentations, facilitating statewide networking and electronic advocacy. Determined the priorities for annual training events to address relevant issues for the diverse range of victims of domestic violence and their children. Incorporated anti- oppression workshops into all trainings.Director of Programs (2002 – 2004) Member of management team responsible for program planning and agency policies. Identified best practice and model programming. Represented WCADV at statewide meetings, such as the Governors Council of Domestic Abuse. Responsible for staff hiring, supervision and program management.
