As a future graduate of North Carolina State University, with a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management, I am looking forward to bringing my skills and experiences to the professional workplace. I have discovered my talents and passions for sport marketing and public relations, recreational and sport programming for under-served youth populations. Some of my personal accomplishments include partnering with a current NC State professor to create and lead an after school youth sport initiative, Pack Play 180, at Bugg Elementary, a Title I school in downtown Raleigh. This relationship at Bugg has even led us to be able to organize and initiate “College Bound”, an annual day-long program aimed at helping expose children to a positive view of a college experience. I am very passionate about working with a dedicated team to use sport and recreation as a way to make a positive impact on youth in my community.I am currently working as a sport marketing intern for Intrepid Marketing Group in Raleigh. I believe that my ability to think analytically and critically has enabled me to successfully analyze and evaluate marketing campaigns for many of our clients. My ability to strategize and manage my time well has helped me become a successful and hard-working member of the Intrepid team. My experience as a student ambassador for the College of Natural Resources at NC State University, I have gained interpersonal communication skills, as well as event planning and logistical skills. In the 2016 fall semester, I led a team of 3 ambassadors to create and execute an entire event for recruiting over 50 high achieving prospective sport management students through the ambassador program. Upon graduation, I am seeking employment in sport marketing, youth and community sport programming, or special populations sport. I am excited to seek out future opportunities to become a versatile and talented individual in the sport industry.
