I participated in a summer ampact program through Grow US LLC., with Cliff the Gardener. We helped build a community sustainable garden on a vacant lot in North Minneapolis called Public Affections. We built this garden with a low budget by upcycling items we found, asking for donations of pallets, plants, compost, and mulch. We focused on raising awareness about the homeless population in Minneapolis and helped volunteered at shelters, serving food to the homeless or people in crisis. We collaborated alongside youth interns from Project Sweetie Pi, EMERGE, & Zintkalaluta, educating them about urban farming. We also planned an end-of-summer event celebrating the success of finishing the garden by connecting with local organizations and bringing the community in.

Tasks include managing Front Desk-Greeting visitors, answering phone/making phone calls, word processing, data entry, filing, photocopying, office cleaning, running errands, putting together recruitment bags and other office support.Working with staff in Multicultural Center and OASIS in assisting with Events-Recruitment/Retention events, campus visits, decorating/clean-up of special events, coordinate event invitations and follow ups, assist with tour guide training, scheduling and conducting campus tours, other duties as assigned.

I was a part-time caregiver to my Great-Grandmother. I was responsible to fill in my time sheets. Make sure that my client is comfortable and fully hygienic.
