As program manager of Boeing’s Space Launch System (SLS) Block 1B Program, Jerry Webber leads the team that is responsible for developing and producing the powerful Exploration Upper Stage that will enable missions to Mars and beyond. Webber has most recently been named the interim Space Launch System Deputy Program Manager and Michoud Assembly Facility Site Lead where the Boeing-built Core Stage and Upper Stage rockets are produced in support of NASA’s Artemis Program. Webber began his career in 2002 as a rocket propulsion engineer and has extensive experience in both solid and liquid rocket development. Throughout his career he has supported numerous programs with Boeing Defense, Space and Security, including Space Shuttle, Ares, Space Launch System, Ground Based Strategic Deterrent, and KC-46. Prior to his career with Boeing, he supported weapon integration on Predator aircraft with General Atomics Aeronautical Systems and experimental tactical missile propulsion initiatives with NAVAIR. Webber holds a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a master’s degree in executive engineering management from University of Texas.
