I was the sole intern at Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media's Solana Beach studio. I had the opportunity to take part in all aspects of game design for Disney Enchanted Tales, a mobile city-builder and my first shipped title as a designer. The length of the internship was only 4 months long, but fortunately, was extended twice to reach the full 1-year limit. The final extension called for my involvement in a few other game projects at the Glendale studio.Responsibilities at Solana Beach Studio:· Wrote character dialogue, content descriptions, narration, and mission briefings· Designed and implemented side quest flow comprised of +90 quests· Tracked real-time game length and milestones from a min/max perspective for design insight· Balanced and tuned game economy across different IP's such as Frozen and Beauty and the Beast· Created character actions and obtainable resources within 1st and 2nd storytelling· Conceptualized future events, sales, and rewards· Playtested new game content· Conducted playtests with individuals of target audience· Fixed design related bugs or inconsistencies· Communicated with other teams and designers on a consistent basisResponsibilities at Glendale Studio:· Designed a level of intermediate difficulty for Inside Out Thought Bubbles, a bubble shooter· Provided design insight on newest features and content for a few different casual mobile games· Wrote a design spec for a tip reminder· Balanced and tuned attributes for future character in Disney Emoji Blitz, a match-3 puzzle game· Conducted in-house playtests on an early game prototype

I QA tested for several different casual mobile games, including my first shipped title, Sudoku Deluxe Social. Though it was my first step into the gaming industry, I quickly became one of the top bug reporters. What set me apart was my ability to not only recognize technical bugs, but design related bugs as well.
