1. Provide technical support of all Consolidated Safety Valves and Power Operated Relief Valves on a global scale 2. Review customer contracts and technical specifications to identify all technical requirements. Translate requirements into output documents (e.g., design drawings, test procedures, etc.) 3. Size valves based on flow rate calculations in accordance with the requirements of the NBIC and applicable ASME Codes 4. Perform stress analysis of critical valve components under various loading conditions under normal operating conditions as well as simulated seismic conditions 5. Prepare stress analysis reports to determine adequacy of inlet wall thickness of butt-weld end design pressure relief valves. 6. Perform various other engineering analyses as required to support customer, valve design or code changes (e.g., thermal expansion, stress analysis of flanged connections, bolting torque, calculation of spring rates/deflection) 7. Write and/or revise procedures, engineering instructions maintenance manuals and catalogs to ensure technical accuracy and compliance with applicable codes, standards and customer technical specifications 8. Member of Dresser’s Material Review Board (MRB). Board is responsible for issuing a disposition of nonconforming material (i.e., accept for Fit, Form & Function, rework, scrap).
