I have a knack for listening to and understanding your needs to develop strategic public relations, communications, and marketing plans in service to your ultimate goals.In 2023, I joined the Skirball Cultural Center as vice president of Communications and Marketing with the goal of enhancing the Skirball’s public image and visibility, increasing attendance and support among diverse audiences, and providing strategic leadership to media relations, marketing, advertising, print and digital communications, social media and community relations. As a member of the senior leadership team, I also contribute to the success of education, museum, program and other initiatives to advance the Skirball mission.Previously, I enjoyed a nearly 20-year career at ArtCenter College of Design. As vice president of Marketing and Communications I oversaw the College's media relations, design and editorial, digital content, photography, special events, and campus communications. Having held several positions at ArtCenter, I also spearheaded the College's advertising, promotional partnerships, community and civic relations, as well as executive and crisis communications.I joined ArtCenter from Universal Studios where I worked in Corporate Communications alongside the vice president of External Communications and Public Affairs handling media and community relations. At Universal, I also assumed management responsibilities in the areas of internal communications, brand stewardship, and corporate events. Previously, I worked for King World Studios in the contestant relations department of "The Hollywood Squares," helping to facilitate local and nationwide contestant searches, and providing in-studio support. Before working in the entertainment industry, I worked as an account manager at Lynda Weinstein Design Resources, a Los Angeles-based textile art broker, selling new and vintage artwork to the fashion, apparel, home, and surface industries. Early in my career, I held a number of management, community outreach, and customer service positions in the food service, special event, and hospitality industries. I majored in Hospitality Management with a minor in Business Administration and Marketing at San Jose State University.Currently, I serve on the Board of Directors of Boston Court Pasadena, a venue for live theatre, music, and visual arts with a focus on intimate and innovative artistic excellence.I was born and raised in Southern California and moved up and down the state before returning to Los Angeles. My husband and I currently live in Northeast L.A.
