Electrical Engineering Intern
Co-led a project in the sensors & trimpots division of Bourns Inc. as the electrical engineering lead. The project required interfacing a computer with both a digital signal processor and a stepper motor controller, allowing data from a sensor to be collected as its position is controlled.Main Tasks:- Write and compile C code for the digital signal processor using the MPLAB X IDE, and program the microcontroller using the MPLAB X IPE. The code implements an SPI interface and a UART interface, allowing the microcontroller to communicate with a sensor and a computer.- Program a 6K4 stepper motor controller to automatically move a sensor in accordance with parameters and signals from the computer- Create a LabVIEW program with a GUI to provide a user with control over where the sensor will be positioned during data collection- Create a LabVIEW program to perform data analysis and provide visual representations to the user in the form of intensity graphs- Fabricate circuit prototypes for interfacing sensors with the digital signal processor
