- Whereas I retain the same job duties as an Advisor II, becoming an Advisor I is allowing me to expand my role in CEO Member Relations. The biggest addition to my everyday duties allows me to utilize my fascination with writing. Since joining the department in 2021, I have worked on the intake side of regulatory and non-regulatory messages, but now I generate outgoing correspondences to both the regulatory agencies and members on a variety of subjects. This ability allows for my workflow to be more efficient. I have become more active in regulatory control work and audits to aid in USAA's compliance metrics. As time goes on, I look to further my involvement in responsibilities behind the scenes. - Self-development and the development of others remains a constant. I am one-third done with an American Bankers Association Certification in Compliance Essentials. This course will further my understanding of bank compliance measures at USAA. My efforts to mentor those interested in pursuing careers in CEO Member Relations continues. Editing and contributing articles to the regional DE&I publication remains a passion project.

- I worked to build bridges between the CEO, the Board of Directors, and the company’s many members through an established advocacy program. My goal was to make each individual feel like family. This was done through verbal and written interactions that covered regulatory and non-regulatory areas with the goal of finding fair and factual resolutions. The core values of service, loyalty, honesty, and integrity guided me in my daily activities and outlook. - Extracurricular activities outside of my normal job scope allowed me to help foster an environment of fellowship and education among my peers. - As a licensed adjuster, I worked on all aspects of non-injury auto claims. Duties included fairly representing and educating policyholders on claims’ processes for advanced understanding. Establishing positive rapports with numerous vendors was a necessity for expedited services and favorable outcomes. - I took advantage of my company’s tuition assistance program to successfully complete my Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. - With the desire to better the work environment and the enterprise, I was able to represent 100+ adjusters as part of an internal employee feedback program designed to identify what was working well and what was not. Gathered feedback was presented to upper management to facilitate changes geared towards efficiency and employee morale. Mentorship of fellow coworkers aided in their advancement and subsequent contributions to the company.

- This job allowed me to tap into my passion for writing. I was able to create external communications that showcased the organization, its employees, and its assortment of banking products and services for mature stakeholders. Reaching younger generations to nurture long-lasting relationships was done through the management of a scholarship program, coloring contests, and savings incentive programs, among others. Vendor relationships were crucial for budget, quality, and efficiency to ensure my final products were completed timely and delivered successfully. - Internal partnerships with departments across the enterprise were constant. They ensured that the credibility of my work was present. Quality working relationships broadened my network and knowledge of all aspects of the company. - I was able to aid in creating and implementing logistics for the Annual Member Meeting event for a superior attendee experience. For the benefit of Children’s Miracle Network, I had the privilege of being the credit union’s representative. Numerous fundraising programs were implemented under me with earned proceeds being presented to the charity for pediatric patients at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta hospital.

- This role really gave my personality a chance to shine. Being a credit union that required its members to have an affiliation with the United States Postal Service (USPS) to join, it was my duty to visit numerous USPS facilities around the southeastern United States to educate potential members about the benefit that they had available to them in the Atlanta Postal Credit Union. Developing and maintaining a network of liaisons within each territory was crucial to the success of both myself and the credit union. - Personally, I could use constructive feedback to make adjustments to speaking styles, content of my presentations, and how to best maximize time restrictions. If you do not know what is broken, you do not know what to fix, right? - Professionally, I could use what I learned to introduce ideas for new products and services to department heads. One such idea was a round up program that would level off purchases to the nearest dollar with the difference being deposited into a savings account. Having a way for members to easily save money would certainly be a competitive advantage over other financial institutions without a similar program. - This was one of those jobs you dream about as a kid. At the racetrack, I was given the opportunity to demonstrate my talents for event planning, writing, and exceeding peoples' expectations, all at an incredible venue. - Managing events associated with pre- and post-race productions for NASCAR race weekends between 2010-2018 were highlights of my professional career. Some were even featured on a live ESPN broadcast. The launching of the Group Sales division in 2012, visiting trade shows and other racetracks to market AMS, booking National Anthem singers for various events, coordinating logistics for the 2010-2014 Friday Night Drags series, Sponsorship Coordinator for the 2010 Thursday Night Thunder racing program, and driving the track's Pace Cars were all part of my duties.
