I really, really like writing. Fortunately, I have gotten to write a lot in my career. Currently, I write for a Fortune 200 company as part of my daily job. That is pretty darn cool. Letters to members, messages to regulatory agencies, and a quarterly DE&I publication for employees are just some of my duties. Previously, I was the Communications Specialist for a sizable credit union. That position saw my hand in the construction of newsletters, press releases, pamphlets, and many other pieces. My goal is to keep myself active in this arena for a long time to come. Another thing that I really, really like to do is serve people. I have spent years volunteering with numerous non-profits aimed at bettering the lives of others. I have had the privilege of mentoring others to better themselves. Regardless of personal or professional discussions, I am always willing to share my story of perseverance concerning my mental and physical journey to inspire others. Curious? All you have to do is ask. Growing up as a U.S. Air Force dependent, numerous relocations kept my family on the move every 1-3 years. Constantly changing homebases helped me develop in a lot of many ways. Always being the new kid in school, three high schools included, a very outgoing personality was necessary for acceptance. This characteristic is what has led to many of my service initiatives. Consistently moving to and visiting domestic and international destinations also helped me gain an understanding and appreciation of many cultures. For this reason, I am a huge proponent of diversity, equity, and inclusion in all spaces. "The greater the diversity, the greater the perfection." ~Thomas Berry When not at work, I enjoy a wide variety of activities: antique shopping, playing trivia, watching sports, going to concerts, traveling, and hanging out with my incredible wife, adorable daughters, and our numerous rescue cats.
