As the Director of Strategic Operations, my primary role changed from focus on an individual district to our entire footprint and corporate agenda. My focus in on finding/creating/developing tools and technologies to increase our overall Safety, Quality and Efficiency at the operational and administrative levels. I also still maintain a role with the local operating district on developing new business, manage our marketing and act as an advisor for our safety program.

A role in addition to my previous roles in which I took on the daily operations, customer relations and sales of one of our operating districts in Shreveport. During that time I managed employees in a bilingual environment (Spanish and English), learned and specified herbicide formulations, increased profitability on existing accounts and grew the book of business with a mixture of small accounts and multi-year contracts while still focusing on safety and quality.

Functioned in a support role for an industry leading herbicide applicator. My role involves not only creating brand touch points and industry specific messaging to our customers, but also instilling our culture into our employees as it relates not only to safety, but to overall quality. Our customers range from utilities, pipeline, municipalities and other state and government-run organizations.

Worked with the Marketing team to create compelling materials to position Central Market not only as the place to “grow your taste,” but also an affordable luxury. Duties included the creation of all printed materials (weekly flyer, ads, billboards, brochures, coupons, etc.), managing and creating content for the Central Market website and blog, photograghing and styling food for use in all materials and writing copy for some digital and print materials. I’ve also had the opportunity to create and fully execute in-store promotions and marketing programs.

Worked in a collaborative fashion with a team whose goal was to change the shopping experience of the world’s largest retailer and turn shoppers into buyers for many of the world’s largest brands. Other work included the creation of ads, package design, and other print materials for the clients listed below. Involved in the concept, design, pre-production, proofing, and production stages of all work. Clients included Walmart, Procter and Gamble, PUR, Iams, Crest, Oral B and Pantene.

Developed and consulted on recipes for menus and created food and ice sculptures for parties and events. Other duties included the keeping of inventory on food items and aiding in the culinary training and education of other employees.
