I participated in designing, developing and maintaining a web based, multi-website e-commerce system that is managed from one central backend system. Features included a single user interface to manage all aspects of products, websites, vendor information and layout / design that is specific to each website. I worked closely with the SEO and data entry teams as well as the company owner in order to come up with new features, enhancements and improvements for the websites and administrative system. I was also responsible for maintaining the company's legacy system for product management that was built with MS Access.

I ran and operated dedicated LAMP servers. Helped customers with any hosting issues regarding their website, ftp access and email issues. Setup and configure website and server software and keep track of day-to-day operations and server performance.

My primary duty was to ensure the proper population of sales and use tax forms based on the customer's data. Other duties included mapping new client sales and use tax data to the proper tax forms for form population and troubleshooting any discrepancies between the customer and system generated figures. I also spent time coding PDF forms for tax-based calculations.

I was responsible for testing the Tax Preparation software for any bugs or unexpected behavior. Any bugs would then need to be written up in the internal bug tracking system with step-by-step instructions on how to duplicate the issue. Followed up on previous issues to see if the behavior had been fixed or if the write up needed to be elaborated upon.

I was responsible for learning & teaching other team members PHP. I was also responsible for researching possible projects along with gathering information regarding similar products for feature comparison.
