I am responsible for leading a team to design, manufacture, and test SRAD parachutes that can withstand high opening forces, a robust coupler that can handle all recovery flight loads, data acquisition on all aspects of the flight including opening loads of the parachutes, and all necessary electronics that can operate under supersonic flight conditions to ensure a controlled descent and a safe recovery​.

With this, we designed and build the recovery bay to have a safety factor of over 2. We also collaborated with the Telemetry team to design and construct a flight computer housing that maximized the space inside the nosecone while being user-friendly and wire management easy and clean.I also encouraged my team to think outside the box and use good intuition to understand what is happening during the recovery phase of the flight path and prove our intuition through simulations, experimental tests, and hand calculations.
