As a Title IX Coordinator, I am dedicated to ensuring a safe, inclusive, and equitable educational environment for all members of our community. My role involves overseeing the college's compliance with Title IX regulations, which prohibit sex discrimination in education programs and activities.I am responsible for managing and investigating reports of sexual harassment, assault, and misconduct, providing support and resources to affected individuals, and ensuring fair and impartial processes. I develop and implement policies and training programs to promote awareness and prevention of sexual misconduct, fostering a culture of respect and accountability.Collaboration is key to my role, as I work closely with campus safety, health services, counseling services, and various departments to coordinate efforts and provide a comprehensive response to incidents. My goal is to create a supportive environment where every student and staff member feels safe and valued.

Lead the Health and Safety Task Force to reopen campus during the COVID-19 pandemic• Chaired the Guilford College Health and Safety Task Force that developed health protocols which led to a total of 36 positive cases during the Fall 2020 semester.• Oversaw the procurement of over $100,000 worth of personal protective equipment and other purchases necessary to safely reopen the college• Facilitated a partnership with StarMed laboratories whom provided initial and ongoing COVID-19 testing for the campus community members at no cost to the institution. 4427 tests were conducted, with 26 positive cases from those testing clinics.• Served as the COVID-19 liaison for the institution and worked with 5 other institutions in Guilford County to collectively discuss how to safely reopen our campuses• Served as the COVID-19 liaison between the college and the Guilford County Health Department, as well as Guilford County’s Emergency Management Department.• Created the StayHealthy Ambassador program, a student leadership program that assisted with implementation of the college’s COVID-19 protocols.Orchestrated a strategic progression of the Guilford College Public Safety Department• Instituted a Procedural Justice model that shifted the departments focus to the idea of fairness in the processes that resolve disputes and allocate resources• Developed a comprehensive 32 page Field Training Manual for newly hired Public Safety Officers to be trained in accordance to the Procedural Justice model and Guilford College’s policies and procedures• Authored a 19 chapter Standard Operations Plan that aligns with the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators’ Standards Manual• Partnered with App Armor to bring a safety app to the campus that enhanced the overall safety of the campus.• Serves as the College’s Emergency Manager, Clery Compliance Officer, and Lead Title IX Coordinator

• Responsible for the day-to-day administration of the campus police department, facilities management, policy enforcement, crisis management, community development and programming• Hired, trained, and supervised several officers on the methods of operation for a law enforcement officer that resulted in well-versed officers and more efficient problem solving• Formed and maintained excellent working relationships with students, coworkers as well as members of the college community• Served as a positive mentor to subordinates and peers while promoting the Department’s mission, goals and objectives.• Reviewed the reports of subordinates for comprehensiveness, clarity, grammar and spelling before approval and submission.• Maintained consistent communication with the Director of Residence Life, the Community Director team, the Resident Assistant team, the Desk Attendant team, as well as the Department of Student Life.

• Taught several driver safety courses to diverse audience groups• Authored a traffic grant from North Carolina Governor’s Highway Safety Program, which led to the creation of two new personnel positions and procurement of $200,000+ equipment • Developed a traffic division which decreased motor vehicle accidents by 400%• Created new policies and procedures for conducting DWI Checking Stations and Drivers License Checking Stations• Published more than 10 checking station plans and instructed over 100 officers on operating procedures based on said plans• Analyzed a diversified amount of motor vehicle violations and applied the appropriate enforcement action which led to compliance of the law
