Attend all ship maintenance, repair, and assessment events for all issues related to maintenance scope, planning, logistics, fiscal requirements and/or constraints and impacts to material readiness.

Provide in-country oversight on the behalf of Naval Sea Systems Command of the Continuous Lifecycle Support (CLS) Program to support the Iraqi Navy in maintaining mission readiness of 12 SwiftShips 35 Meter Patrol Boats, 2 River Hawk 60 Meter Offshore Support Vessels, 26 Safe Boats Class Defenders, Synchro-Lift, and Dredger. • Responsible for managing all ship maintenance, including the planning and executing of all shipyard work packages, voyage repairs, and modernization. • Chairperson of weekly Planning Board for Maintenance Committee with senior Iraqi Navy leadership that executes long range maintenance plan and training implementation.• Develop maintenance schedules for each ship and maintain corresponding work package for major work during vessel overhaul. • Conduct daily ship checks to identify and document ongoing overhaul and work not identified by ship force and maintenance contractor. • Oversight of prime contractor ensuring quality control and safety procedures are adhered. • Supervise and document dock and sea trials following repair availability. • Established and maintained professional relations in an immense multi-cultural work environment.

Planned, organized, and coordinated system installation, startup, training and troubleshooting using established procedures. Assisted with contract closeout, supporting project quality, schedule and cost commitments, while maintaining overall focus on engineering, service and the customer.Coordinated system erection and start up activities to ensure that UCC systems were installed and operated in accordance with quality standards and contract commitments. Resolved field installation and operational issues expediently, maintained focus on contract schedules and field costs.Conducted post-startup activities for customer acceptance of the system and throughout the warranty period.Established and maintained written and verbal communications on each assignment with the Project Manager, customer representative(s) and UCC departments. Kept accurate departmental records and reports in accordance with policy.

Coordinated site activities including erection, startup, customer training, and troubleshooting ensuring equipment is installed and operated in accordance with contract design drawings and operating instructions. Provided technical assistance and documentation as required to resolve issues while maintain overall focus on service, schedule, and the customer. Installed, troubleshot, repaired and calibrated engineering plant control systems including PLCs, VFD motor controllers, DCS and transmitters.

Integrated, installed and provided support of Woodward industrial control systems for steam turbine, diesel, and gas engine generator sets and mechanical drive applications. Programmed, configured and tuned engine and generator controls. I provided on call field service and phone support for customers of Woodward Industrial Control products.

Supervised utility plant operators in the safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant operation of a three unit 700 mw coal fired power plant to ensure daily generation commitments. Administered protective work programs in accordance with OSHA, company and industry standards. Conducted work safety briefs and safety spot checks.

Responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of propulsion gas turbines and gas turbine generator sets, waste heat boilers, power distribution switch gear, and various pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic support systems. Coordinated safe plant light off and start up testing after major maintenance periods.
