Surveillance Towed Array Sensor Systems Engineering - Maritime Systems:In my role as a Senior Systems Engineer, I have the opportunity to:1. Serve as the Hydraulic Subject Matter Expert for the passive and active surveillance towed array handling system. Delegated role by the Maritime Systems Program Office Chief Engineer.2. Review and provide Program Office approval on hydraulic system engineering calculations and hydraulic system construction drawings in support of the Auxiliary General Oceanographic Surveillance, T-AGOS 25 ship design. The calculations consisted of hydraulic hose sizing, mechanical power analysis, hydraulic reservoir sizing, bolt stress analysis, and bearing loading/reaction force analysis.3. Work with the Engineering & Expeditionary Warfare Center test team in Singapore, Asia to support a naval ship repair engineering activity. Conducted a new hydraulic motor installation and performed a low frequency active system load test to prove the structural and operational integrity of the active handling system. The procedure included a static, dynamic, and rated capacity test.4. Act as the Test and Evaluation Lead Engineer by working closely with the Government Program Manager to assist with naval fleet requirements, test readiness reviews, integrated product team meetings, and Commander Task Force fleet scheduling for naval ship activities.5. Manage the U.S. Navy and Japan Auxiliary Oceanographic Surveillance Sensor System engineering and at-sea testing events - Array Sensor Tow Cable Tensioning, Hydraulic Motor Dynamometer Testing, Shakedown Testing, and End-to-End Testing.6. Create the test and evaluation master plan for the integrated common processor system to include new key performance parameters, top level requirements, and next generation surveillance towed array testing requirements.

Develop the COLUMBIA Class and the United Kingdom DREADNOUGHT Class submarine test procedures within assigned schedules and budgets to support the common missile compartment test development (Installation, Inspection, Grooming, Hydrostatic, and Operational testing). 2. Support the verification and validation test plan for the Strategic Weapons System Ashore Missile Tube Test facility at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Base Station in Cape Canaveral, Florida.3. Travel to the Naval Submarine Bases to attend technical briefings and presentations with the customer - Kings Bay, Georgia, Cape Canaveral, Florida, and Washington, D.C. 4. Perform a Special Weapons welding heat transfer data reduction/analysis by obtaining thermal data in key areas in the missile tube to evaluate conditions and potential impacts during the selected welding activities.5. Develop presentations to support the preliminary and critical design reviews of the Strategic Weapon Trainer Tube System by providing test procedure recommendations and system design solutions to the customer; Strategic Systems Programs and the Naval Sea Systems Command.6. Collaborate with the mechanical component engineers and the fluid system engineers to develop the test pressure system diagrams.

Coordinate the Baseline VIRGINIA Class submarine certification and delivery for the fluid ship systems and propulsion plant engineering directorate (Fast Cruise, Sea Trails, and URO/URU).3. Develop system operating instructions for the U.S. Navy sailors, test forms and maintenance procedures. 4. Review hydraulic system piping plans and arrangements for compliance with the hydraulic system diagrams, technical and security requirements. 5. Perform technical reviews of documents to ensure the quality of the products for each of the U.S. Navy submarine delivered.6. Submit technical instructions, vendor orders and other financial documents to the Naval Sea Systems Command.

Throughout this project I've collaborated with contractors and engineers within the strategic program as well as engineers from Lockheed Martin. Secondly, I worked on a design to establish a logistic database mapping system for the Strategic Systems Programs headquarters in Washington, D.C. to layout tools, documents and spread sheets for other users in different strategic system facilities throughout the United States.
