In 2018, I was brainstorming with the Munich iGEM Student Team possible project ideas and brought up the Phage topic, that I was previously working on. The team picked up the topic and decided to build a cell-free phage production system to quickly produce custom made phages to replace antibiotics. I coached the team for the international competition, which they later won in many categories: https://2018.igem.org/Team:MunichDriven by the successful participation in the competition, Kilian and a small team of researches continued their research and created the company with Patrick in early 2022. I joined the team as a Business Angel and Advisor at that time and just shorty after, they successfully participated in YCombinator. With my team at Smart Lab Architects, we helped Invitris quickly move into their new labs at IZB Munich.

Max and Sara, the founders of Planet A Foods, reached out to us very early in their startup journey and we helped them build their first pilot production, lab and office in Munich, Martinsried. It is rare to see so driven and ambitious founders in their early days and it was immediately clear that I would join them as Business Angel when given the opportunity. Just a few weeks after, they were selected to join the YCombinator and, as of Mid 2024, have raised $43.3 million for creating a sustainable chocolate alternative, which is already available in many supermarkets.Under the Brand www.Choviva.com they are selling their chocolate alternative as an ingredient to many, very famous brands such as Linde, Kölln Müsli or DeBeukelaer' Cereola Cookies,Fun Fact: They even convinced Lidl to include the ChoViva Seal front of pack on their private label products even though their Managing Board declined the first time.

We build a non-profit infrastructure to bring the global and local (Munich & Europe) tech community into Synthetic Biology. Also, we create a new business model for the industry based on patents. I helped the Kurzgesagt team, Germany's largest Youtube Channel, to set up business intelligence for the various business models, for example the global merchandise shop, that runs and developed concepts for new sources of revenues. Founded in 2013 the studio engages in information design projects of all kinds. Kurzgesagt is convinced that good things take time, care and precision. In an age of information overload they try to produce content that has value and that people actually notice and remember. There is no boring topic, you just have to tell a good story.

We've built the biggest tech community in Germany and with these exceptional people, we initiate projects to grow these into scalable, truly innovative, high-tech startups at x.unternehmertum.deWe reach about 4.000 entrepreneurs, engineers, hackers and designers in the fields of AI, VR, AR, Humanoid Robotics (www.roboy.org) and Synthetic Biology (www.synbio.info). We invite our communities to our hackathons such as the two week program www.thinkmakestart.com or www.techfest.com and here, participants find their teams, their project and they build it. We host with Think.Make.Start. Industry 5 day innovation sprints that I prepare, manage and moderate. Per sprint, we invent 5-10 new projects and in 2018 we have done this with Tetrapak, Sartorius, Waldner Laboreinrichtungen, Hoffmann Group, Max Bögl, Peri, Siemens Healthineers, Osram and AstraZeneca.Everyone in the community can access our Seeing Space, robotic and S1 Biolabs, work with our €80.000k Hardware Library and access the 1.500m² www.makerspace.com in Garching, on the campus of the TU Munich. Of course, we also have a large co-working space and the vast offerings from www.unternehmertum.de, which is Europe's largest Entrepreneurship centre with 150+ people basically covering everything from idea to IPO.

Born from the idea to create a festival for nerds and tech enthusiasts in 2016 I prepared, ran, managed and moderated on of Germany's biggest high-tech hackathons, each year with more than 10 partner companies, 400 participants and tons of tech. I had the pleasure to create the lab of the future with AstraZeneca in 2016, latest sensor technology with OSRAM in 2017, finally enjoyed the festival as a participant in 2018 and developed and moderated most challenges in 2019 - ranging from digital insulin solutions with SANDOZ to 360° Car Suspension systems for autonomous cars with Magna - and yes, we developed working prototypes in all challenges within 72 hours.

As a Growth Hacker at Outfittery, I optimized and reinvented the companies Growth Engine, which consists of 5 major areas of action: - Markets: Identified a new, rather untouched market segment and derived adequate acquisition and product strategies, as well as implementing them.- Acquisitions / Marketing Channels: Developed offline strategies with our 3D ManScanner; Teletext advertising- Product: Optimized user conversion along the entire funnel; developed new, very personal communication channel.- Reorders / Retention: Developed a very effective, automated reorder mechanism.- Referral: Combined all referral mechanisms and created a perfect fit with Outfittery's personal service.Starting from the back of the Growth Engine (referral and reorders first), I conducted intense data research (SQL, Salesforce, Google Analytics) and multiple customer surveys, built / programmed / organized 15 MVPs, which lead to 5 core features of Outfittery's current business model. Together, those new core features generate now each month between 20-25% of all orders. Most of these Growth Hacks do not need additional maintenance, as they were designed to work automatically. Besides Growth Hacking, I took over the 3D Scanner project from our CDTM student team and build a new, portable 3D Scanner that takes precise measurements of our clients.

We did various investment in B2B SaaS from Series A to C. Luckely, all but one investment are still active today (as of 2020). At this Paris based VC my partner and I were responsible for investments in the German market and I had the pleasure to work on all aspects from deal scouting to even once signing an investment.

In a team of two I was in the lucky position to work on everything from deal flow to even signing some investments. But the most interesting part was getting to know not only the entrepreneurs but also their business models and their path to success.

At Delivery Hero (Lieferheld.de, hungryhouse.co.uk, ...) I started as an International Project Manager reporting to the CSO. Soon I was the Project Manager for two major pricing initiatives both taking place in UK and DE at the same time. Those eventually led to the holding wide break even. The next major project was steering the corporation between 9Cookies (www.9cookies.com), an iPad based cashier that enabled our restaurant partners to manager their entire business. We introduced the product to our core markets and created all necessary technical interfaces. Later, the company was acquired by Delivery Hero.To give those initiatives a clear outline, I started the Innovation and Development department that focussed on generating, evaluation and implementing innovative concepts. We developed, for instance, a premium delivery service that relies on regular taxis. This exclusive fleet delivers the food from the 200 best restaurants in all larger German cities. A few month after I left, Foodora and it's bike driving fleet was aquired. The story of Delivery Hero scaled continuously with an IPO in 2017 until 2020, when Delivery Hero entered the DAX Index that contains Germany's Top 30 largest companies with € 1.2bn revenue in 2010 and 25.000 employees and a market capitalization of 20bn in late 2020.

At this innovation consultancy I was responsible for my department‘s graphical artwork and supported the ideation team in carrying out innovation workshops.

At this furniture online shop I developed a viral advertising campaign and a concept for virtual, crowd-based product development.

I supported the start-up consultancy and education institution by developing and analysing business models, creating a knowledge management tool and preparing educational material.
