The Neonatal Neurology research group at SickKids is dedicated to the understanding of brain development in critically ill children. Utilizing state-of-the-art imaging techniques we assess newborn babies who are at risk for possible developmental or neurological problems.As a Clinical Research Project Assistant, I aid the team to ensure studies conducted in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit run smoothly with duties such as keeping the REB up to date, recruiting research participants, developing and maintaining databases etc.I also develop media to share the outcomes of our research with the families who participate in a fun and engaging way.
