My passion began as a child, purchasing baseball cards to study uniform changes and colors, particularly the woolen flannels worn in the days of Jackie Robinson through the 1960s.In 1988, my search for original, wool uniforms led me to a warehouse containing baseball uniform fabric dating from the 40's. I bought in, one bolt at a time, and literally built our company on it.For more than three decades, I have been committed to researching historic sportswear and sourcing the exact materials to bring individuals authentic, vintage apparel. My company uses the most authentic fabrics and researches the actual techniques that were used at the time. I believe in hand-crafting goods and manufacturing in the United States.Today we ship authentic vintage sportswear all over the world. We offer hundreds of historic apparel products on our website, and have licenses with MLB, NFL, MiLB, the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, as well as dozens of Collegiate licenses. We’ve done collaborations with Brooklyn Circus, J. Crew, Polo Ralph Lauren, Tod Snyder – just to name a few. Ebbets Field Flannels was acquired by Lids through their parent company Ames Watson in late 2021, but I and our co-founder Lisa Cooper remain heavily engaged, and our passion for authentic, vintage sportswear is still going strong. As an avid sports history enthusiast and the former CEO of Ebbets Field Flannels, my mission remains to continue to bring quality, beauty and craftsmanship of mid-Century American athletic garments to a 21st Century public. Helping individuals get access to handmade, historic, and authentic vintage sportswear is my true passion.
