As Product Manager my role was primarily focused on delivering strategic growth plans across a broad range of Edwards products – both mature and in development. Working within the Atlas Copco group my activities and interactions crossed multiple business brands.

P&L accountability for the Industrial Packaged Gases portfolio, UK and Ireland. Formation and deployment of strategies to deliver profitable growth through existing business improvement, along with market share gain through new business acquisition. Introduction of product enhancement and rationalisation strategies whilst building portfolio value and improving overall profitability. Business process evaluation and improvement. Support continuous development of customer opportunities with sales teams. Working group member of the British Compressed Gases Association (BCGA).

Following Linde’s purchase of BOC, my role included the evaluation of opportunities across a number of Linde businesses within Europe for eventual expansion into welding products - equipment and consumables. This role entailed the review of business synergies, financial assessment of opportunities, review of business readiness and requirements.

Responsible for product portfolio profitability growth, through the management of existing product lines and the introduction of new products and services. Formation and articulation of 1st and 2nd tier product offering. Development of portfolio and alignment with sales channel strategy. Establishment of global supplier agreements.

Production of business requirement specifications for customer, and material master data convergence from IBM AS400 to SAP R3 commercial systems. This entailed data extraction, validation and upload, considering a number data cleansing, translation and verification processes both pre and post SAP load. Successful delivery within the UK business resulted in its use as a template for the US business where I supported implementation. Throughout this project I worked with Accenture SAP consultants and programming extension team.

Responsible for a product portfolio to support a wide range of industries including; Semiconductor manufacturers, OEMs, and Scientific instrument manufacturers. I developed, established and introduced new products to support businesses in both the UK and US. Quality, cost and supply chain optimisation were critical aspects for the successful delivery of this role.

Responsible for the management and development of a team of six individual customer account coordinators and sales specialists to support key customers in the Semiconductor industry. My teams activities included; the construction of quotations, project management, and scheduling of activities to ensure the delivery of seamless and high quality support services.
