I have worked in facilities management, maintenance, and operations to one degree or another since 1989. I spent most of that time in higher education facilities both public and private, but in the last few years I have moved into the construction and operation of k12 facilities as well. As an Energy Manager I have saved customers millions of dollars in operational costs and increased occupant safety and comfort. During my time serving as a Physical Plant Director, I reduced costs by streamlining services, increased safety through constant staff training, and promoted facility and campus appearance by focusing on continual improvement. I developed preventive maintenance programs from ground up, increased equipment and system efficiency, and prioritized deferred maintenance. I have assessed the condition of hundreds of facilities and analyzed and optimized some of the most complex systems on the market.
