Jerry is currently a Senior Program Manager for AECOM's Transit and Rail Practice. He's currently supporting Austin Transit Partnership's Light Rail Program and several of Amtrak's High-Speed Rail initiatives. Jerry is proud to have been selected for 2024 ENO Center for Transportation's Senior Executive Program.For the past four years, Jerry has served as a Program Manager to Project Connect’s Orange Line Light Rail Project (Austin). For this effort, he led hundreds of planners, engineers, and scientists in the development of the preliminary engineering and environmental clearance documents for the 20-mile light rail transit project. Jerry has served as the Manager for Innovation and Thought Leadership Program for AECOM's National Transportation Planning Practice. He is a certified planner with 33 years of consulting experience for a number of legacy AECOM firms. He has served as Program Manager and Principal-in-Charge for multi-million-dollar IDIQ contracts and projects (>$200M in the last 10 years). Jerry’s technical specialization includes planning and design for critical public sector-focused projects. The majority of these projects have included the assessment, conceptual design, and implementation of urban design elements, including the social and natural environment, recreation, cultural resources, and transportation. Jerry has served as the local manager for the Rockefeller Foundation's 100 Resilient Cities, designed urban parks, authored numerous successful grants for public and private clients, and is an industry recognized NEPA expert for all modes of transportation. He routinely makes presentations before community and governmental groups and is skilled in translating technical matters to a lay audience. Jerry’s strength lies in his ability to develop strategy, build effective teams, and establish win themes that resonate with the clients. Prior to his current assignment, Jerry served as the Deputy Area Manager for the Texas/Gulf Coast Area where he was responsible for the $330M business operations and 1,200 staff. He is a proud graduate of Leadership APTA (2013) and Leadership Dallas (2005). Jerry also served as a coordinator/mentor for Leadership Arlington and Dallas Young Professionals.
