Jerry Archer is the president of Archer Sign Corporation in Canton, Ohio. From a very young age he started assisting his father in his sign business. As he reached the teen years, he was able to take on more responsibility - working nights, weekends, and summers servicing and installing signs. After graduation in 1981, he became a full-time employee focusing on service and fabrication. In 1984, he began focusing on sales and expanding the company’s territory. Three years of hard work later, he was named president of Archer Signs. His initiative to invest in sign manufacturing equipment helped them achieve success as a full-service regional sign company. By 1992, Archer Signs was producing on the national sign market where they still remain today - a national, regional and local full-service sign company. During this time he met a wonderful women named Trish. This year, they’re celebrating their 24th wedding anniversary and they have two children. Jerry is also very committed to his community - he is involved with the American Cancer Society, Tuscarawas County Humane Society, mission trips with his church family, and regularly volunteering at the local soup kitchen. Jerry even rode his bike 328 miles, from Cleveland to Cincinnati, a four day ride for the American Cancer Society’s Pan Ohio Hope Ride in 2009. Jerry has never shied away from hard work and is committed to continuing the growth of the company his father started back in 1969.
