As Solution Architect and consultant during this period, I implemented or ungraded two open pit mining customers and participated in several implementation rescues. I was also Solution Architect for a project that used the ERP as a middleware for a natural gas distribution company that only wanted to use the IFS Mobile Work Order and Planning and Scheduling Optimization tools.

As Product Manager for EAM at IFS, I was part of the reorganization and evolution of the new development methodology authoring the vision and roadmap as we changed clients in the software from .net to html5. The vision I created for the next generation of asset management is called iMMAV which is an acronym for “intelligent Monitoring, Maintenance, Automation, & Visualization” which can be explained on the YouTube link below as well as the genesis of what I believe will be the best end user experience in the EAM world. I worked with the marketing department to write the Statement of Direction and the Asset Management section of the IFS website as well as several white papers and articles. As a direct report to the VP, I interfaced with the other ERP modules product managers as well as the sales and the industry teams to discuss the roadmap and gather ideas for the features. We then worked with the Program Managers and Developers to wring out the requirements and help design many of the current and future changes in the functionality including the ability to capture machine downtime, redesign of the scheduling tools, and several other touches and tweaks. Now, with the vision we developed set in place, I'm going back into the customer facing realm to try to continue to work on the EAM evolution from that direction.

Business Analyst for an ERP software company specializing in the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system (sometimes called CMMS), Service Mangement, and Call Center modules of the software which includes the interfacing with inventory, procurement, human resources, and finance. Customers projects have included utlities (generation and distribution), manufacturing including aftermarket service management, nautical (terminal and shipyard), food and beverage processing, aerospace/defense, and mining, .

Responsible for all maintenance, installation, and repair of injection molding plastics plant equipment and properties as the company expanded from an 8 million to 22 million dollar operation: Managed and scheduled several direct reports for optimum utilization as well as set up and oversaw various contractors. Responsible for procurement and purchasing of plant equipment, repair parts, production supplies and tools working from a corporate budget. Monitored production efficiencies and downtime occurrences using the company software as well as custom spreadsheets to constantly monitor maintenance efficiency and identify production bottlenecks. Coordinated a 30,000 square foot expansion project. Re-wrote and refined the maintenance portion of the QS9000 quality program as well as the preventative maintenance program. Served on the company's QS9000 steering committee and was a key member of the safety committee.

Responsible for purchasing all materials and subcontracting of castings, machining and fabrication. Products included custom engineered winch packages as well as a manufactured winch line and air motor line. Used the DISC operating system software program to set up part numbers, bills of material, re-order levels, ect. Worked with engineers in the development of one new air motor and two new lines of pneumatic winches. Sourced many machined sand, investment, and die castings from Asia at 30 to 40% of domestic price including net 10 day terms, F.O.B our plant.

Responsible for estimating, purchasing, sub-contracting, and shop detailing custom fabricating jobs. Jobs included pressure vessels, pipe hangers, hydraulic tanks, and skid packages

Performed and/or supervised all maintenance, installation, and repair of plant equipment: Created and authored a flexible and effective automated preventive maintenance system for plant equipment and facility upkeep. Administered the plant safety and security programs: Worked with TEXAS OSHCON to qualify the company for the SHARPS certification. Designed, installed, implemented, and expanded a robotic welding system: Each of the four robots do the work of two welders with one operator. Supervised and modified the installation of the powder coat paint system: Designed and fabricated the conveyor fixturing increasing efficiency 400%. Designed and installed an automated water make up and transfer system that allows the maximum cleanliness of the rinse water and recycles it to the wash tank. Acting general contractor in the on schedule relocation of the entire facility. Productive member of the product design and process improvement team.

Maintained, repaired, and operated the primary search, air, and weapons control radar (Aegis SPY-1A). Served aboard the USS Yorktown CG-48 from 1985 thru 1990 which included three Mediterranean and a North Atlantic deployment. Advanced to E-6, First Class Petty Officer and was ESWS (Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist) qualified in 1988. Expeditionary Medal for OVL (Operations in the Vicinity of Libya) Ops 1986.
